Prairie WynDS Construction Host GRAND OPENING
of New Subdivision Models and Townhomes
Heritage Homes Builders – Wynn and Melissa Cragg and Dan Seemann of Prairie WynDS Construction hosted the Grand Opening of their new Victory Valley Subdivision in Grandview Plaza on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, 2006.
Along with a host of community dignitaries they cut the ribbon and officially opened the subdivision to the home buying public. Saturday’s highlights included Heritage Regional Manager, Lonnie Matthes, and Prairie WynDS partner, Dan Seemann, taking calls on a live, one hour radio program called Home Builders Care Show.
Sunday’s public OPEN HOUSE was highlighted by a brisk tour of their two single-family model homes and the 4-plex townhome. Local radio stations Q103.5 and 104.7 Country did afternoon remote broadcasts to promote the event and generate traffic.
Grandview Plaza city officials, local lending institutions and realtors were also on hand to pre-qualify prospective clients and help answer questions on the many lots available in their 44 unit subdivision.

Heritage Homes of Nebraska,
Inc. Accepted into the Well Connected House Program
 |
Heritage
Homes of Nebraska, Inc., the Midwest's premier
builder of modular homes located in Wayne,
Nebraska, is proud to announce their acceptance
into the Well Connected House Program offered
by Simpson Strong Tie Company.
The Well Connected House
is constructed using only Simpson Strong
Tie Connectors throughout the house. These
connections are at the foundation, walls,
floors and roof to provide greater safety
through better structural support and improved
resistance to the damaging effects of storms,
high winds, hurricanes and earthquakes.
Even if your home is located outside tornado
alley, the hurricane belt or seismic areas,
connectors incrase its structural durability,
making the house more appealing to potential
buyers when it comes time to sell.
In many areas of the country,
the built-in margin of safety that connectors
provide is an important factor when you
purchase your homeowner's insurance. Using
connectors at these critical points creates
a continuous load path - this means a safer,
stronger home from a builder who is committed
to differentiating themselves in the industry
as a builder of quality homes.
Heritage Homes is a twenty-five-year-old
firm, who has been known as the innovator
in the system built home industry. We are
the first modular builder in the Midwest,
and the second modular builder nation-wide
to be accepted into this program. For more
information on the Well Connected House
Program, check out the Simpson Strong Tie

Insulated
Sheathing is Best |

Cavity Insulation with OSB |

Cavity Insulation with OSB and Housewrap |

Cavity Insulation with OSB and R-5 Insulated
Sheathing
|
| Graphic depiction
of thermal bridging through a typical home.
Yellow areas indicate the greatest heat
loss through uninsulated wood studs. Blue
indicates minimal heat loss. You are looking
at a phenomenon called "thermal bridging."
Heat escapes in the winter through studs
and other uninsulated parts of a wall. Science
says that framing accounts for about 25%
of the wall area in an average house. Obviously,
insulating only between the studs does not
provide a well-insulated wall. Adding housewrap
over the exterior of the house reduces air
infiltration through the wall, but housewrap
does not reduce thermal bridging or convection
currents, or shift damaging dew points.
Insulated sheathing provides a barrier against
heat loss, airflow and moisture.
